Talk: Lightweight Backpacking for Women

If you have any of these concerns, then please join Gossamer Gear Trail Ambassador Heather Knight for an evening discussion on the principles of lightweight backpacking, gear selection, and creative ways to go light on a budget.

We will help you get ready for your Next Adventure and give you the confidence you need to hit the trials!

Talk: Camino de Santiago

The GearUp Expo is an up and coming premiere outdoor show for those who love hiking, backpacking, water sports, and adventure travel.  Veteran pilgrim Heather Knight will be giving a very brief overview of the ancient pilgrimage walk, the Camino de Santiago.  This will be a condensed talk and Heather will be around afterwards to answer your questions.

I am scheduled to speak first thing on Saturday, April 26th at 10:00a.   This will be a shorter talk than I normally give, but I will be around afterwards to chat with anyone who wants to.

There is an entrance fee to this event.  It is $10.

More info about this event can be found here.

Talk: Caminho da Costa

Join veteran pilgrim, Heather Knight for an evening presentation at Next Adventure about walking the "alternate" Caminho da Costa to Santiago de Compostela, Spain.  This 220 km route is a shorter option for those with less time to walk the Camino de Santiago. The talk will feature photos and stories, with a focus on an alternate route some pilgrims walk from Porto, Portugal.  She'll share her itinerary, housing options, food choices and give an overview of the terrain and weather you'll encounter while walking.

This presentation is FREE.  Next Adventure will provide light snacks and drinks.
